Believing is seeing

About 25 days ago I decided it was time to get serious and give it my all… I haven’t looked back since. I started a 90-day FIT Challenge and with the support, motivation and ACCOUNABILTY that group has given me, there is no way I can fail!

I forced myself to trust the process. I have been keeping up with my workouts, eating healthy and most important I believe that the changes I want will come, I just have to give myself the time needed. Patience is key, it takes time to change your body, and I am loving the small changes I am seeing! In the past, I kept giving up because I wasn’t seeing results as quickly as I thought I should be.

I’m feeling inspired and strong and kind of like I can do anything I put my mind to. This is huge for me. When I think back to this past year, I’ve always second guessed myself. If I didn’t lose weight on any given week I would turn into a hot mess! I would try changing my diet, changing my workouts, or worse, taking a break from it all because “I obviously don’t know how to lose weight”. (Literally, those words have come out of my mouth… ask my husband! LOL) That quote from Jennifer Lopez’ movie “The Wedding Planner” would always come to my mind, “Y'know, "those who can't do, teach"? Well those who can't wed, plan.” But for me it was, those who can’t lose coach.

If you have ever felt like that, trust me, just do what you know you need to do. Workout and eat well if you don’t see changes the first week, or even the second, keep at it, because they will come and you’ll be happy you kept at it long enough to see progress!

Message me about joining my 90 day FIT Challenge, it might do for you what its doing for me; Change your life!

I’ve still got a ways to go, but mark my words, I WILL get there!

Recharged!

Right before leaving on my vacation to Cancun I was ON FIRE. I dropped 3.2lbs in 5 days! If you read my previous posts you will see this is extremely unusual for me. I was packing my lunches and had all of my meals planned. I woke up at 5am to do cardio in the form of Insanity, Turbo Fire or Brazilian Butt Lift and did P90X in the evening. I was feeling like a champ. Like an athlete.

I’ve been back from Cancun for one week and it’s now time to get back on track! I did a Shakeology cleanse right when I got back from vacation and lost most of the weight I gained. It feels awesome to have something like the cleanse to erase all that vacation weight, but it is now time to focus and get to my goal weight.

I’ll be posting weekly to track my progress and I will also start posting pictures. I am already seeing results. Small changes, my thighs are getting thinner, my tummy is a little flatter and I can see muscle on my arms and back.

I’ll check in again soon!

Becoming a Beachbody Coach

I wanted to blog about something that is very near and dear to my heart. Something that I feel has changed my life for the better. I can break down why I love being a coach so much into 3 major categories:

Self: My decision to become a coach has helped me stay on track all year. I still have some work to do as far as reaching my goal weight/body but I know for a fact, if I wasn’t a coach, I would have completely fallen off the wagon at some point this year. But that’s not the case. I have been steadily working at “it” since I started. Also, I know a lot of you who aren’t coaches can “feel the love” that pours out of coaches and reaches out to you. This isn’t just with people they are coaching, it’s with fellow coaches as well. I can’t explain what a tight family of coaches I’ve been fortunate to be a part of this past year. I am motivated and pushed everyday by the people I have chosen to surround myself with.

Passion: I found out this year that I have a huge passion for helping others reach their goals and become healthy. It is something that drives me every day. Whenever I help someone lose weight, I feel ecstatic for them and I feel a sense of achievement as well. It’s an incredible feeling to know that in whatever small way, you helped someone change their life. It’s crazy to think, but before I became a coach I can’t say I had passion for anything. I knew I did not like my job, but could not even fathom what it is that would make me happy. I now know.

Financial: Ok, so not only do I get to help people change their lives, but I get paid for it too??? What? It’s almost too good to be true.

If all of this sounds like something that interests you, check out the below for more info on becoming a coach:

So you are thinking of becoming a coach????

What you pay:
-There is an initial, one time fee of $39.95 (this includes some coaching tools etc.)

-$14.95 monthly fee, this supports your 2 websites; your Beachbody website and your Shakeology website

-You need to have 50PV points a month, which pretty much means you need to spend $50 a month on Beachbody products. If you are on Shakeology, this covers it. Most coaches are on Shakeology because one, it’s great, and two, you really need to be living proof of Shakeology’s benefits to be able to share the product with others.

- If you chose to be on Shakeology as per the point above, as a coach you pay $90/month

How you earn an income:
-You receive a 25% discount on all Beachbody products including merchandise. This includes Shakeology!

-Because you make 25% on any sales, it’s not too hard to make up the money you spend monthly. Most of the beachbody products cost $120 so you would make a $30 profit on those sales.

-You have an even greater opportunity to earn income as you grow your team. But there is no pressure here. If you chose to go for it, we are here to support and help you get all the training you need to succeed. Beachbody offers so much training, and simple steps, that if you are willing to put for the effort, you are bound to succeed.

-You get paid on a weekly basis.

-Beachbody takes care of everything! You don't need to carry around inventroy or be a website expert.

So what are you waiting for? Become a Team Beachbody coach today!

Progress

I’m very excited this morning. I already posted a pic on my facebook, but just feel like talking about this a little more... LOL

This morning, after my morning jog with the pup, I showered and got ready as usual. Because my doggy slobbers ALL over my clothes, I only have a few clean jeans in my closet. I grabbed a pair and went to put them on. I realized the tags where still on, which is something I do with my “goal” clothes. (Yup, I said clothes, plural; I have half a closet of “motivational” outfits) Since I already had them in my hands I decided to give them a try. When they zipped up I had to check the size one more time. These are jeans that I couldn’t even button before.

You see, I began working out and eating clean in October. I’ve lost a total of 6 pounds since then... Yup, 6 months, 6 pounds. It’s quite embarrassing, and I often feel like a hypocrite. When anyone asks for help I happily give advice, but in the back of my head I always feel like “really? Why would you take me seriously? I can’t even lose the weight myself.”

Well today’s pictures make me feel so much better. I might have only lost 6 pounds but I went down a size! My tummy is a lil flatter and my legs are leaner. I might be on the slowest train on earth, but that’s ok with me. I’m moving in the right direction and I’m doing it in a healthy way.

This is proof of how evil the scale is. I felt like I had made no progress, I mean, I hadn’t even thought to try on the jeans again. It was all just a happy coincidence.

Anyways, I’m proud of myself and very pleasantly surprised and I wanted to share ;)

Have a great Friday everyone!

Feeling guilty

I don’t know what to do! I want to start Asylum, but things aren’t looking too good. I’m going thru busy season at work, its crazy 12 hour days until May 31st, then it slows down a little bit. My husband and I also run a volleyball club and I do all of the admin/financial stuff. I am in the process of trying to get everyone paid off since the club season is over in June. (Not an easy task)

I want to be fully committed when I start Asylum. I want to make sure I can get that workout in every day for 30 days.

This is what my days look like:

6:30am- jog with my doggy in the am
8-6:00pm- work
6:30-7:00pm- jog with my doggy again (if I don’t he just has way too much energy and doesn’t behave)
7-7:30pm dinner
7:30-11:00pm- work some more and/or volleyball billing

End of April- May 31s it busy season for me. I’m going to try to fit in workouts here and there, but I feel so guilty not following a full program. Maybe p90x 3 days a week, strength training Wed, Sat and Sun? Urgh, I hate this time of year!

Last year I gained 10 pounds during busy season. The jogs with the pup are helping; I’ve actually been losing a lil weight. I’ll keep you all posted on how I’m doing. If you have any suggestions for me, I welcome them!

Progress report

Day 18 of the challenge

I haven’t blogged since day one of the challenge. I really just didn’t want to be a downer. The scale has hardly been moving for me. I didn’t want to get on here and rant and throw myself another one of my amazing pity parties. So I waited and waited until I started to see a little progress.

I posted my Game Plan on my last blog, and guess what?! I’m totally doing everything I said I would! I’m really really proud of myself. I’m actually getting up at 6am to workout! This is a huge deal for me. I’m definitely not a morning person. I’m not going to take all of the credit though; my hubby literally drags me out of bed every morning. I’m like a little kid, I fight him everyday… but I asked him to do this.. go figure…. LOL

So, with my doubles and eating clean, I was hoping to lose 2-3 pounds a week. I thought for sure I’d be seeing fast results. Not the case. Not the case at all! Today is day 19 of the challenge. I’ve lost 2.8 pounds. Total. I understand what’s happening. I’m building muscle; my body is adjusting to the shock of two workouts a day. I understand, but it still gets me down some days. Even though I know it shouldn’t.

I took my measurements last night, and am really happy about them! Here are my stats:

2/12 --- 3/1 --- loss
Weight--- 157.6--- 154.8--- -2.8
Right Arm--- 12.5--- 12--- -0.5
Left Arm--- 12--- 12--- 0
Thighs- -- 24--- 24--- 0
Under bust--- 33--- 32--- -1.0
Waist--- 30.5--- 30--- -0.5
Belly button--- 35.5--- 34--- -1.5
Hips--- 40--- 40--- 0

So yeah, my arms were different sizes when I started. Not sure how they evened out in 19 days. LOL Most of my inches lost are in my tummy area, which is GREAT. If I would have taken measurements a week ago, I’m sure my legs would have actually grown. My jeans were actually fitting tighter than normal last week. This was not so great with my motivation, but again, I understood that my legs had to of been retaining water.

So there we go. This is where I stand right now. Definitely moving in the right direction and really excited for the end results!

Biggest Loser Challenge

Today was the first weigh in for our Biggest Loser challenge. There are 6 of us competing. We each put in $100, and on the last weigh in, winner takes all. Essentially, I paid $100 to compete, and if I win I’ll have $600 on March 12th.

This changes my mind set completely, and I’m so excited for this change. I have been going thru the motions, eating clean, working out 5 or 6 days a week. I’ve been eating too many calories and too many carbs. I’ve been gaining and losing the same 2 pounds since OCTOBER!!! I needed this wake up call. Even if I don’t win, I paid $100 to get my booty on track!

My Game Plan:
1. Put together a meal plan for the week (I never do this).
2. Going grocery shopping tomorrow.
3. Getting up at 6am to get in some extra cardio 3 days a week.
4. Working out in the evenings -2 days of strength training 3 of cardio.
5. Saturday- workout outdoors with my hubby
6. Sunday- rest day… I’ll need it!

I’m going to print out my plan and put one up on my office and the other in my bedroom as a constant reminder. I am SO excited for the changes these next 4 weeks will bring! I mean really, if I don’t win, I HAVE to lose weight and inches right? I keep saying “if”, but don’t think I’m not going to bring it!

Starting weight: 157.6
