Slow and Steady

I know “Slow and steady wins the race” but at least for one week I’d like to sprint. I don’t think I’ve met anyone on this earth who loses weight more slowly than I do. (melodramatic, I know)

I can see changes in my body. I think I have to get some new jeans, since a few of mine are fitting a lil big now. I still just wish I would get out of the 150s! I hate the 150s! I’ve lost a total of 7 measly pounds. I know people who can drop that much in a week and I’ve been at this since August. But alas, I know every body is different, and I have to work with what I have. I am making progress after all, so I’ll focus on that.

I start month 2 of my P90x/Insanity hybrid today. This month I hope to finally break into the 140s even if that means I get to 149.9 lol. It’s going to be a hard month for me. On Sunday I leave to Palm Springs for a work conference. I’ll be there until Tuesday afternoon. I’m confident that I can stay away from all of the sweats; I’m just scared about the meal options. I’m hoping salads are available each day. I’m also going to pack my shakeology, protein bars, protein shakes and some fruit.

I wanted to add in some extra cardio this month, to ensure my break out of the 150 prison, but my husband and I run a volleyball club, and November is the craziest month. Tryouts, signing people up, setting up payment options, getting down all of their contact info, setting up quickbooks…. It never ends. I’ll be running around to all of the different practice sites collecting paperwork on my free time. I just have to make it through this month, after everything is set up life will get easier.

I might have to think about getting up earlier to get some extra cardio in. I’m so not a morning person, but how much do I really want this?

Stay healthy my friends,
Carina
